Patch Tests

Patch tests are required by manufacturers, insurers and our professional body B.A.B.T.A.C.

We ask all clients receive patch tests a minimum of 48 hours prior to the following treatments:

  • Tinting
  • Henna
  • Tanning both Spray and Lotion
  • Medik8 Peels
  • Lash Perming

You will require a patch test if this is your first treatment of the above service at Bliss.

If it has been longer than 12 months since you have received your last treatment at Bliss, or there has been a change in Medical History including Pregnancy, Menopause or other Medical Conditions we will require a new patch test to be performed.

If the manufacturer has changed formulations, we may need to perform a patch test too.

Our insurer has also stipulated that if you have had COVID-19, used at home tinting systems or have received a COVID-19 vaccine that you will need to be re-patch tested as this is seen as a change in your medical history.

Please Note: COVID-19 vaccine requires us to re-patch test after dose 1 and dose 2 and also we are required to wait 2 weeks post vaccine, incase of an inflammatory response.
